Stance

During your turn, you gain a bonus action that does not require a check. This action can’t share a type with another action you perform this turn. If your school rank is 4 or higher, the bonus action may share types with your other action (but still not require a check).

General Examples

O: If you failed, determine the easiest way to accomplish the task. O+: Negate 1 strife point you would have gained from this check per O spent this way. OO: Provide Assistance to the next character to attempt this or a related check. O: Remove 2 strife from yourself. O+: Perform the task efficiently, completing it more quickly or saving supplies. Extra O further reduces the time or materials expended. OO: Spot an interesting physical detail present in your environment not directly related to your check. At the GM’s discretion, you may establish a piece of terrain quality or a mundane object nearby.

Initiative

O: Assess the qualities of all terrain in the scene.

Conflict Examples

O: Remove 1 fatigue. O+: During an Attack action check, ignore 1 point of target’s physical resistance per O spent this way. OO: Move 1 range band. OO: Critical hit.

Force Power Examples

OO: Remove 1 fatigue from the target or yourself. O: Reduce the TN of the next Support action check you make by 1. This effect persists until the end of your next turn.

Scholar O: Spot a unique or identifying quality, aspect, or ability of something that you are identifying. Social O: Add an O to your next Social check before the end of the scene.
