Level 1: Calm Pond’s Surface (20 MK)

Ki: 3 Fire / 3 Earth / 4 Metal / 5 Water Effect: You have a +50 bonus to a Dodge roll. If you succeed and gain a counterattack, that attack has a +40 bonus.

Level 1: Leaping the Dragon Gate (25 MK)

Ki: 2 Wood / 2 Fire / 4 Metal / 4 Water Effect: Make an attack with +50 Base Damage, and reduce the effective Armor of the defender by 3.

Level 1: Piercing Rain Drops (30 MK)

Ki: 2 Wood / 2 Earth / 5 Metal / 5 Water Effect: You have a +50 bonus to your Initiative. If you obtain a Critical result on an attack this round, increase its severity by 40 points. And finally, your attacks may ignore up to 50 points worth of penalties caused by aiming or combat maneuvers.

Level 1: Shimmering Gold Scales (20 MK)

Ki: 2 Wood / 3 Fire / 4 Earth / 4 Metal / 2 Water Effect: You have a +50 bonus to a Block roll. If you succeed and gain a counterattack, that attack doesn’t count towards your regular number of attacks this round.

Level 1: Splash Attack (30 MK)

Ki: 2 Wood / 4 Fire / 2 Earth / 2 Metal / 5 Water Effect: You can make up to five attacks this turn, but each of them inflicts only half damage.

Level 2: Fish out of Water Strike (70 MK)

Ki: 5 Wood / 4 Fire / 5 Earth / 6 Metal / 12 Water Effect: You can make an attack with a +50 attack bonus and +100 to Base Damage. If it hits, the target must make a Difficulty 140 Physical Resistance check or suffer extra damage equal to the difference. This secondary damage only affects targets which must breathe air through conventional lungs.

Level 2: Tomoe Whirlpool Slash (85 MK)

Ki: 7 Wood / 7 Fire / 5 Earth / 5 Metal / 10 Water Effect: You can make up to three attacks, each with a +100 attack bonus. If you spend Fatigue points for a bonus to your roll, then all three rolls gain that bonus. As a drawback, the attacks must succeed in sequence. In other words, you only get the second attack if the first one hit. And you only get the third attack if the second one hit.

Level 2: Water Surface Refraction Strike (50 MK)

Ki: 3 Wood / 5 Fire / 5 Earth / 3 Metal / 6 Water Effect: You have a +50 bonus to your Initiative. You may first launch an illusory attack against your target, a trick of the light which provokes a defense even though its only misdirection; if the target obtains a counterattack, it can’t harm you. Someone who makes a Notice check of Difficulty 240 can tell it’s a fake and knows to ignore it. After the fake-out, you immediately launch a hidden but real attack. The target is Surprised by this attack unless they can make a Notice check of Difficulty 320 (or only 280 if they recognized the illusion for what it was).
